Tottenham Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Wilfried Zaha and Matthijs De Ligt
Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino will reportedly be given at least £120 million to spend on new players this summer, with centre-backs and wingers his main targets, per Miguel Delaney for The Independent.
Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha is among the most prominent players to feature on the Argentinian's wish list. The Ivory Coast international, who has been involved in nine goals in the Premier League this season, is a long-term target. Adrian Kajumba of the Daily Mirror reported in February 2018 that Spurs would once again return for Zaha, although the Palace man would cost at least £50 million.
Daniel Levy's famously strict wage budget, under which Harry Kane is the highest-paid player earning £100,000, is again likely to limit the options available to Pochettino.

Toby Alderweireld is expected to leave this summer in order to increase his salary, with Danny Rose also likely to move on after his controversial interview with Dave Kidd of The Sun in August led to the England left-back featuring just seven times so far in the Premier League.

Even the likes of Zaha, reportedly on £100,000 per week at Palace, according to Jack Austin for The Independent, will stretch resources to the limits.
Another reported target is Ajax's 18-year-old centre-back Matthijs de Ligt, who is widely regarded as one of the most exciting young defenders in Europe. As a former team-mate of Davinson Sanchez, De Ligt would have no problems bedding in at the new White Hart Lane.
Newcastle United defender Jamaal Lascelles, who has impressed in his debut Premier League season, is also reportedly on Pochettino's radar, along with West Brom's Jonny Evans. The imminent relegation of the West Midlands club should mean he is available for a cut price.
Both Manchester clubs will likely spend vast sums of money again this summer, so Spurs' £120 million could end up being a relatively small amount. Nevertheless, Pochettino has a good record of developing raw talent, meaning Zaha, De Ligt and Lascelles could all thrive in north London.
