Brock Lesnar Retains Universal Title vs. Roman Reigns at Greatest Royal Rumble
Brock Lesnar continued his dominance over Roman Reigns on Friday at the Greatest Royal Rumble in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, as he defeated The Big Dog in a steel cage match to retain the Universal Championship.
Reigns pushed Lesnar to the limit and had him reeling, but a monstrous Spear sent both men through the side of the cage, and it was determined by the officials that Lesnar touched the floor first.
WWE tweeted a photo of the aftermath of the controversial decision:

While the rules technically state that the person whose feet touch the floor first wins the match, Lesnar was ruled the winner and remained universal champion even though only his back touched initially.
Friday's bout was a rematch of the WrestleMania 34 encounter that saw The Beast Incarnate beat Reigns in the main event.
The first clash between Reigns and Lesnar occurred at WrestleMania 31, but it was spoiled by Seth Rollins cashing in his Money in the Bank contract.
There was no definitive winner between Reigns and Lesnar in that match since Rollins made it a Triple Threat and pinned Reigns to become the new WWE champion.
Reigns scratched and clawed his way toward another one-on-one shot at Lesnar, and he finally got it at WrestleMania 34 after winning an Elimination Chamber match to become the No. 1 contender for the universal title.
During the build toward WrestleMania, Reigns appeared to get the WWE Universe on his side by pointing out the fact that Lesnar is a part-time Superstar who isn't on the road day in and day out.
The Conquerer made Reigns pay for his comments on numerous occasions, but everything seemed to be pointing to Reigns finally slaying Lesnar and becoming the new champ.
Reigns turned in a valiant effort at WrestleMania 34 by kicking out of multiple F-5s and fighting through a bloodied forehead, but Lesnar somewhat surprisingly prevailed.
It was well known entering WrestleMania that Lesnar's contract was set to expire, but after his big win at WrestleMania, WWE announced he had re-signed and that he would take on Reigns at the Greatest Royal Rumble inside a cage.
On a stacked card that included a 50-man Royal Rumble match, Reigns vs. Lesnar was perhaps the most meaningful bout of them all because of the implications moving forward.
With Lesnar coming out on top over Reigns once again, it appears likely that The Beast will remain part of WWE for the foreseeable future.
Meanwhile, Reigns is poised to enter into a feud with Samoa Joe, as The Samoan Submission Machine has called him out in recent weeks.
Now that Lesnar has vanquished the top full-time Superstar in WWE two times in a row, it creates doubt with regard to whether anyone is capable of beating The Beast.
