Shazier, who suffered a career-threatening spinal injury during a December game against the Cincinnati Bengals, told ESPN's Marty Smith that support like what he received from the OSU crowd "really helps me push even harder every day."
"Every day I'm getting a lot better and I'm able to move around more," he said. "I'm doing a thousand times better than I was in December."
Shazier was a First Team All-American with the Buckeyes in 2013 before getting drafted by the Steelers in the first round of the 2014 draft. He's earned two Pro Bowl selections at the NFL level.
