Dez Bryant After 'Personal' Cowboys Cut: 'If I Didn't Have My Edge I Got It Now'

Kyle NewportApr 13, 2018

The Dallas Cowboys opted to release longtime star Dez Bryant on Friday rather than pay him $12.5 million in 2018.

It's something Bryant won't soon forget about.

Right after the decision was made following a meeting between the receiver and Cowboys owner Jerry Jones at the team's facility on Friday, Bryant took to Twitter to express his feelings on the situation:

The three-time Pro Bowler made it known that he took this decision personally:

Providing an edge for someone who already has three 1,000-yard seasons and three double-digit touchdown performances on his resume could be scary for opposing defenses.

As a result, don't be surprised if Bryant, a first-round pick by Dallas in 2010, stays inside of the NFC East so he can play against his former team twice a season:

You can be sure he will circle the dates if and when the Cowboys show up on his next team's schedule.
