Cowboys Rumors: Dez Bryant, Jerry Jones Set to Have Friday Meeting
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is set to meet with wide receiver Dez Bryant on Friday to discuss the player's future with the team, according to Josh Clark of 105.3 The Fan.
The topic is expected to be Bryant's contract, which features a $16.5 million cap hit in each of the next two seasons, per Spotrac.
The team could either renegotiate his contract or release him outright if it feels he is not worth his current cost.

Last week, Albert Breer of The MMQB reported the team feels his play started to slip after he signed his extension prior to the 2015 season, during which he only played nine games because of injury.
"Based on last year, he does very few things really well," a staffer told Breer.
The 29-year-old finished the 2017 campaign with just 69 catches for 838 yards despite starting all 16 contests.
Meanwhile, Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said the receiver's passion can turn into a problem.
"I just think when he has those type of emotional roller coasters, I think at the end of the day he needs to understand that it does affect more than just Dez," Jones said in January, per Drew Davison of the Star-Telegram. "He obviously has made so many great plays for us over the years, but when you start to look at the things that we need to be better at that’s one of them."
Jerry Jones expects Bryant on the roster in 2018, per Jon Machota of the Dallas Morning News, but Friday's meeting could go a long way in determining the next step. If the three-time Pro Bowler isn't willing to renegotiate his deal, he could be on his way out the door.
