Andre Iguodala Expected to Be Ready for Warriors Playoffs After Knee Injury
Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr believes Andre Iguodala will be back from a knee injury when the defending NBA champions open the postseason.
Speaking to The Athletic's Anthony Slater, Kerr said he expects Iguodala will be in the lineup for Game 1 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs:
The Warriors announced Iguodala left Golden State's 116-107 loss against the Milwaukee Bucks on March 29 with soreness in his left knee.
After sitting out the next three games, Iguodala returned to the Warriors' lineup Saturday to play 21 minutes against the New Orleans Pelicans.
Kerr told reporters after the game that he was happy with Iguodala's performance: "He’s had a great second half of the season, and I thought he played well tonight. I’m glad that he’s back. That’s the main thing.”
Iguodala was held out of Sunday's game against the Phoenix Suns and won't play in Tuesday's season finale against the Utah Jazz.
The Warriors have already clinched the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference playoffs.
