Masters TV Schedule 2018: Definitive Coverage and Live-Stream Guide for Saturday

Tom SunderlandApr 7, 2018

Patrick Reed leads the 2018 Masters field by two shots heading into the second half of the competition, although a baying pack of superstars could see his early rise to what would be a maiden major golf title derailed.

The American carded a superb 66 on Friday to build an impressive nine-under scorecard after two days of competition, with Marc Leishman following up in second and Sweden's Henrik Stenson third on five-under.

Reed and Leishman will be paired together for Saturday's run, per the European Tour Twitter account:

The field has been shortened after Friday's cut, which saw reigning champion Sergio Garcia axed from the running alongside fellow veteran Angel Cabrera and 2016 Masters champion Danny Willett.

What remains is a competitive field for this year's green jacket, and we take a look at the landscape heading into a must-watch weekend of golf.

Here's the information you need to catch the action in the United States and the United Kingdom:

Reed On the Rise

It was no surprise to see Reed's 66 emerge as the lowest score carded by any player at Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia on Friday. Even the heavyweights at this year's Masters struggled to make that kind of progress.

But while the chasing field, including the likes of Rory McIlroy, Stenson and Dustin Johnson, battled to save shots here and there, Augusta State University alumnus Reed went to work in a familiar environment:

Perhaps those academic years spent in Georgia are yielding dividends now, and universities in the area may see golf scholarship applications soar if graduate Reed completes his run to a green jacket come Sunday.

Saturday begins what will undoubtedly be the biggest tournament weekend of Reed's professional career to date, although ESPN Stats & Info suggested the odds are in his favour:

Any challenger to the throne will require the American to fall down at some point, such is Reed's momentum at the head of the pack right now, and McIlroy, sat tied for fourth on four-under par, is one who can take advantage.

The Northern Irishman has ventured into these pressurised depths before and shown a winning composure—almost everywhere except Augusta—but golf researcher Justin Ray showed evidence to believe this could be his year:

Much further down the pile is another known quantity in Tiger Woods, currently joint-40th on four-over par and having struggled to keep his tournament alive with a flat 75 on Friday:

It would take a resurrection of biblical proportions for us to see Woods contend for an elusive fifth green jacket come Sunday as he sits 13 shots off the leading pace, but fans can dream.
