Kenley Jansen on Blown Save vs. Diamondbacks: 'Who Cares? It's One Game'
Los Angeles Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen downplayed a three-run home run he allowed to Arizona Diamondbacks right fielder Chris Owings to blow a save in an eventual 8-7 road loss Monday night at Chase Field in Phoenix.
"No, it's not mechanic," Jansen told reporters. "He just got me. Who cares? Who cares? It's one game."
The 30-year-old reliever also gave up a run in his first appearance of the season, but Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said after the game he's not dealing with an injury.

Questions have been raised about that subject because of his reduced velocity in the early going.
Last year, Jansen threw his cut fastball 92 percent of the time with an average velocity of 93.3 mph, per FanGraphs. He's throwing it on just 80.6 percent of pitches this year with the velocity dipping to 90.6 mph.
While the underlying numbers are a concern, it's hard to blame him for not overreacting at this early point in a long season. The Dodgers have 157 games for him to figure it out.
