Warriors' Patrick McCaw Released from Hospital a Day After Scary Fall
The Golden State Warriors announced Sunday that guard Patrick McCaw has been released from the UC Davis Medical Center following a back injury suffered in Saturday's game against the Sacramento Kings.
The injury is considered a lumbar spine contusion, but his preliminary X-ray, CT scan and MRI exams were all clear, and there is no indication of structural injury or neural disruption.
McCaw was stretchered off the court after falling hard on the court after attempting a shot in the third quarter of Saturday's game.

Report: ESPN Trying To Land Steve Kerr

Deciding Between Luka and Shai in 2018 NBA Re-Draft 🤔
Chris Haynes of ESPN.com reported the 22-year-old initially felt numbness in his leg before later "regained sensation."
On the play, Vince Carter undercut McCaw when the Warriors swingman was in midair, which led to the awkward landing. Carter denies any intentional wrongdoing.
"I just hope he's OK," Carter said after the game, per Haynes. "I play this game because I love it and enjoy it, not to see young guys get hurt. He has a bright future. I just hate to see it."
Both Carter and Warriors coach Steve Kerr were emotional on the court immediately following the incident:
There is no timetable for McCaw's recovery, but he is set to see a specialist on Thursday.
The second-year player has been a key part of the Warriors rotation over the last two weeks because so many Warriors have dealt with injuries. He's appeared in 57 games this season, starting 10, ranking eighth on the team with 16.9 minutes per game.
He played more than 30 minutes in each of the previous three games before Saturday's injury.
The Warriors will need to go even further down the depth chart with Stephen Curry still out with a knee injury. Nick Young and Quinn Cook should see additional minutes with McCaw out.
