Paul Pierce: LiAngelo Ball Has 'Good Shot' to Be Selected in 2018 NBA Draft

Paul Pierce believes LiAngelo Ball's NBA draft gamble may pay off.

Speaking to TMZ Sports, the 10-time NBA All-Star said he believes Ball—who declared for the 2018 NBA draft Tuesday, according to Yahoo Sports' Shams Charania—is likely to land with an NBA club come June 21.

"I think he got a good shot man, you know," he said. "I hope all the Ball brothers make it to the league."

Ball, 19, started his 2017-18 campaign with the UCLA Bruins. However, that stint didn't last long after he was suspended for his role in a shoplifting scandal during the team's trip to China in November.

He then left the program before playing a regular-season game in a UCLA uniform.

Since then, Ball and his 16-year-old brother, LaMelo, have linked up with Lithuanian club Prienu Vytautas to showcase their talent.

In fact, LiAngelo erupted for 72 points Tuesday in a Big Baller Brand Challenge game against Guangdong.

Still, skepticism remains over whether he could land with an NBA team.

LiAngelo was a 3-star recruit coming out of Chino Hills High School in 2017, according to 247Sports, and as of December, he hadn't generated much buzz in NBA front offices.

"He's not on any of our scouting lists—even the extended lists," an NBA general manager told ESPN.com's Adrian Wojnarowski

An NBA scout echoed that sentiment in telling the New York Times' Adam Zagoria he doesn't think Ball is "considered a prospect."
