My next top 10 looks at the champions of the past, the belts that are now forever a memory to many fans.
10. Madusa (Cruiserweight Champion)
After Cruiserweight Champ Evan Karagias was caught with a Nitro Girl, girlfriend Madusa challenged him for the title at Starrcade 1999 and became the first woman to win it.

9. 2 Cold Scorpio (4x ECW Television Champion)
Competing with the likes of Dean Malenko, Mikey Whipwreck, and Eddie Guerrero, Scorpio won 4 TV titles within 14 months and dominated ECW's TV division through the mid 1990's.
8. Crash Holly (21x Hardcore Champion, Light Heavyweight Champion, European Champion)
This unusual wrestler, who claimed to weigh in at 400 pounds, took advantage of the Hardcore Title's 24/7 rule, utilizing it to win the title whenever, wherever, and however he could. Aside from the Hardcore Division, he would defeat Dean Malenko for the Light Heavweight belt, and a victory over William Regal gave him his only European Championship.
7. Hardcore Holly (6x Hardcore Champion)
One-half of the current World Tag Champs also was one of WWE's first Hardcore Champs. He was the fourth to win the belt, defeating Al Snow. His first two reigns lasted a month each, and then after the 24/7 rule went into effect, Holly's other four reigns would last a day or less.
6. D-Lo Brown (4x European Champion)
Brown won his first European title in 1998 against future World Heavyweight and WWE Champ Triple H. The two-month reign would be his longest. He would win his other three against X-Pac, Mideon, and the now-"World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry.
5. William Regal (4x European Champion)
The "King of the Ring" was a dominating European Champion, one who would hold the belt for months at a time. He won his titles no matter who his opponents were, whether it was the hardcore Al Snow, the cocky Diamond Dallas Page, or even a shorter guy like Spike Dudley.
4. Dean Malenko (2x Light Heavyweight Champion, 4x Cruiserweight Champion)
The "Iceman", a former member of the Four Horsemen, proved himself as a fighting champ in his time with WWE and WCW. His Texas Cloverleaf was one of the more effective submission holds, contributed to his dominance of the WCW Cruiserweight division in the late 1990's. He then moved to WWE, winning both Light Heavyweight belts within two months, and his last reign lasted nearly a year.
3. Billy Kidman (7x Cruiserweight Champion)
The master of the Shooting Star Press was the top Cruiserweight of the late 1990's and early 2000's, and was one-half of the short-lived WCW Cruiserweight Tag Champs with Rey Mysterio.
*Before I get to my top 2, let me just say that deciding between these two was really tough, so you may have a different opinion.
2. Chavo Guerrero (5x Cruiserweight Champion)
Just the name Guerrero suggests that wrestling is in his blood, and Chavo has definitely lived up to the family name, winning 5 of his titles in the 2000's, and even fighting against family, such as Eddie Guerrero and Chavo Classic, but it must've helped, as he now gets to put "ECW Champion" on his resume.
1. Rey Mysterio (7x Cruiserweight Champion)
One of the most popular Cruiserweights in WWE and WCW history, Mysterio won his first title against Dean Malenko in 1996. Over the next few years, Rey would feud with such stars as Eddie Guerrero, Billy Kidman, Tajiri, and Juventud. Like Chavo, he's also won a major championship, winning the World Heavyweight Championship over Kurt Angle and Randy Orton, just 2 months after winning the Royal Rumble.
HONORABLE MENTIONS: Kurt Angle, Al Snow, X-Pac, Tajiri
As always, I welcome feedback and comments.
