Jay Gruden: 'Good Possibility' Redskins Take RB Early in 2018 NFL Draft
As the Washington Redskins continue to give their offense a makeover, don't be surprised if they look to add to their backfield on draft day.
Per Grant Paulsen of 106.7 The Fan, Washington coach Jay Gruden revealed the team could be in the market for a running back during the April 26-28 draft: "That's a good possibility, yes."
Washington's 2018 offense will look much different. Gone is quarterback Kirk Cousins, and in comes Alex Smith. Wide receiver Terrelle Pryor may leave via free agency.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Last year, Washington drafted Samaje Perine out of Oklahoma in the fourth round. He turned out to be its leading rusher with 603 yards on 3.4 yards per carry. However, Cousins led the team in rushing touchdowns with four.
Barring a trade, Gruden and Co. are unlikely to be in position to nab former Penn State star Saquon Barkley, widely viewed as the best running back in the class, at No. 13. Fortunately for them, this year's draft is loaded with talented backs. Derrius Guice, Ronald Jones II, Nick Chubb and Sony Michel are among the likely available options.
Smith has been known as a game manager throughout his career. As long as he's had a reliable running attack, he's been able to win. Addressing that weakness appears to be high on Washington's list of priorities.
