Ryan Giggs Encourages Aaron Ramsey to Make Decision on Arsenal Contract
Wales manager Ryan Giggs has encouraged Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey to make a decision over his long-term future.
The Welshman has yet to sign a new contract with the Gunners, and his deal at the Emirates Stadium is set to expire at the end of next season.
Speaking about one of his key players, the new Wales boss and Premier League icon said he hopes Ramsey resolves the situation as quickly as possible, per James Benge of the Evening Standard.

"I hope Aaron sorts it out sooner rather than later," Giggs said. "Any player having talks with contracts you want it sorted out as quickly as possible. He's at a good club. From a personal point of view when you're at a club you're used to it can help you. You know all the staff and the players."

According to Benge, after securing the future of Mesut Ozil recently on a £350,000-per-week deal, Ramsey's extension is now at the top of the club's agenda in terms of contracts.
As noted in the report, Ramsey is earning in excess of £100,000 per week and is regarded as one of the most important midfielders at the club. Losing him for a cut-price fee in the summer or on a pre-contract in 12 months' time would be a big blow to the Gunners.
According to Gary Jacob of The Times, there are fears at the Emirates Stadium that Ramsey is ready to let his deal run down in a way Ozil and former Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez did.
While the 2017-18 season has been blighted by a number of injuries for Ramsey, he's performed well for Arsenal when he has been on the field.
As noted by Squawka Football, he has made many big contributions in the final third since arriving at the club in 2008:
Ramsey may not have the technical ability the likes of Ozil or Jack Wilshere are blessed with, but he's an intelligent player who makes a lot of positive decisions on the pitch.
His nose for goals is evidenced by the numbers above, and he's also come up with some crucial strikes in big games for Arsenal, including two FA Cup final winners.

As noted by Gunnerblog's James McNicholas, Ramsey isn't one to hide even in tough circumstances, such as the loss to Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday:
At 27, he should be entering the peak years of his career, and Arsenal will be keen to tap into those. At his best, the former Cardiff City man can be a major asset and a game-changer for the Gunners; players with that knack are hard to find.
However, with Arsenal 10 points off the top four, the prospect of UEFA Champions League football at the Emirates Stadium next season looks slim. With that in mind, it would be no surprise to see Ramsey follow the lead of Sanchez and Ozil and take some time to make his decision.
