Chelsea Transfer News: Blues and PSG Reportedly Keen on Gianluigi Donnarumma
Chelsea are reportedly ready to compete with Paris Saint-Germain to sign AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma. The Blues have turned to the Rossoneri stopper amid doubts about the future of Thibaut Courtois, per Duncan Wright of The Sun.
Wright described how "Chelsea had already made moves to sound out his interest, while Juventus are also keen as [Gianluigi] Buffon approaches the end of his illustrious playing career."
However, Wright also pointed out how PSG are keen, citing a report from Spanish source AS, detailing the Ligue 1 leaders' interest. It's interest Wright says "will be a major concern for the Stamford Bridge hierarchy as they look to prepare for the eventuality of losing Courtois."

Law is right to cite interest from Les Parisiens as a worry for Chelsea. Quotidiano Sportivo (h/t TalkSport) has reported Donnarumma would prefer a move to the French capital in the summer, while PSG have abandoned the idea of signing AS Roma 'keeper Alisson or Atletico Madrid's Jan Oblak.

Losing Courtois is a possibility as the Belgium international dallies over signing a new contract. The delay means Chelsea could move on from their No. 1, who is wanted by La Liga giants Real Madrid, according to Matt Law of the Daily Telegraph.
This is far from the first time the defending Premier League champions have been linked with Donnarumma. Back in January, Spanish source Mundo Deportivo (h/t Goal) reported the Blues had identified the Azzurri international as Courtois' potential replacement.
Courtois had already revealed his "heart is in Madrid," in an interview with Sport (h/t Jack Austin of The Independent).
Former Atletico Madrid loanee Courtois has recently talked up the possibility of returning to the Spanish capital. He said his agent would listen if Real president Florentino Perez were to get in touch, per Sky Sports.

If Courtois were to move on, Chelsea would struggle to find a more suitable replacement than Donnarumma. The Milan star is still only 18 but has already established himself as one of the more precocious stoppers on the continent.
His reflexes, agility, presence and command of his box belie his tender years, marking Donnarumma out as a player with the potential to be among the best at his position for at least the next decade.
It means the Italian would be worth the investment Chelsea would need to make to beat PSG to his signature.
