Super Bowl Odds 2018: Spread Info, Money Line Picks for Eagles vs. Patriots
The Lombardi Trophy is on the line Sunday as the Philadelphia Eagles take on the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII. But for a lot of people watching the game, their money is on the line, too.
Some bets will be placed on the winner of the game, but most bets come from the spread, money line and prop bets, such as how long Pink, this year's singer of the national anthem, will take to finish her rendition of the song.
Kickoff is just days away, and the stakes are high. Don't forget to bet responsibly.

Super Bowl LII: Philadelphia Eagles vs. New England Patriots

Money line and spread

The Patriots opened as 5.5-point favorites after the conference championship games, but that line has dropped to 4.5 points, mostly due to the influx of bettors placing big money wagers on the Eagles to win the franchise's first-ever Super Bowl.
New England comes into Super Bowl LII with a money line of -180, whereas the Eagles come in at +160. Make sense? No? Here's a quick breakdown for you: If you were to wager $180 on New England, you could win $100. For the Eagles, you could wager $100 on Philadelphia to win $160.
Being a 4.5-point favorite might not mean much for bettors when one considers how close Patriots games have been when it comes to playing in a Super Bowl.
The average margin of victory in the seven Super Bowls that Tom Brady and Bill Belichick have participated in is 3.71 points. In fact, last year's six-point overtime victory in Super Bowl LI over the Atlanta Falcons was their largest margin of victory.
The over/under on this game is set at 48 points, which is a pretty good number for most bettors to work with. Considering the Eagles defense has only allowed 17 points to the Atlanta Falcons and the Minnesota Vikings in their past two playoff games, it might be safe to assume that the Patriots would have difficulty scoring more than 20 points in this game, even with a healthy Rob Gronkowski back in the fold.
As for the Eagles offense, don't expect them to set the world on fire, either.
Sure, Philadelphia scored 38 points against the Vikings in the NFC Championship Game. But so what? They only scored 15 points against the Falcons and were held scoreless against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 17. It's too soon to put money on Nick Foles leading the Eagles downfield with regularity to put up points, and it seems like a safe wager to bet the under on this game.
This year, the Patriots won't leave this one close.
After all, why give the Eagles a puncher's chance to get themselves back in the game late in the fourth quarter, like the Falcons let the Patriots do last year?
Bet the under in this one—there's no way this game goes over 48 points—and take solace in the fact that Foles won't be able to score much on the Patriots defense.
Prediction: Patriots (-4.5) 24, Eagles 14
