Deondre Francois Asked Police to Remove Woman Accusing Him of Domestic Violence
Florida State quarterback Deondre Francois called Tallahassee police Tuesday asking them to remove a woman from his home who was allegedly damaging property and threatening to make false claims of domestic violence.
Safid Deen of the Orlando Sentinel obtained the police report, in which Francois told officers the woman was "tearing up everything in my home."
"Coming home, and she’s just tearing everything up. And she just threw everything in my room down. I got two flat screens," Francois said. "She’s trying to say domestic violence, but my best friend is sitting here and seeing her trying to take everything down."
The woman, who said she is nine weeks pregnant, was described by Francois as "a girl I’ve been seeing a while." She was not identified in the police report. No charges were filed in the case because there were conflicting statements given by both parties, and the case is considered closed.
"I’m cool. I’m not doing nothing. It’s fine," Francois told police. "I just want somebody to come get her please because I’m scared all my stuff is going to be ruined. She’s dropping everything in my house like she wants me. All she has to do is step outside my home."
FSU running back Zaqaundre White, who was in the apartment during the incident, said the woman broke glasses, a vase and attempted to break a television before locking herself in Francois' room. White said Francois touched the woman when he tried to remove her from the apartment and to defend himself from being hit but was not violent himself.
Francois is currently rehabbing a knee injury suffered during the Seminoles' Week 1 loss to Alabama at the start of the 2017 season.
