Super Bowl 2018: Date, TV Coverage, Prop Bets for Eagles vs. Patriots
We're a little more than a week away from the kickoff of Super Bowl LII between the Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots, and if you're the betting type, you already know that the Patriots opened as six-point favorites in the matchup.
However, betting on the actual winner of the Super Bowl is the gambling equivalent of ordering a plain hamburger. Sure, you're getting the most important piece of the formula, but what makes it exciting are the toppings and sauces.
When it comes to Super Bowl bets, props are those toppings. Sometimes the props are still perfunctory: how long the national anthem will last or which team will score first.

But sometimes the props are a little out there. Have you wondered if national anthem performer Pink will be airborne at any point during her song? Vegas has.
You're probably going to want to tune in to the game on which you're placing *exotic* prop bets, so we'll first break down all the viewing information you need to know ahead of Super Bowl LII before we get into some of the wild prop bets you can make before kickoff.

Eagles vs. Patriots Prop Bets
Carson Wentz broadcast mentions

Nick Foles is the backup in the Eagles quarterback room and, apparently, also in America's hearts.
As Foles has led the Eagles through the end of the regular season and a 2-0 playoff campaign, the television broadcasts have continued to pan to injured starter Carson Wentz standing on the sideline or watching from the suite, first on crutches and, now, walking with a cane.
Vegas knows there should be plenty of Wentz talk throughout the Super Bowl broadcast, but just how much is up to you. OddsShark lists the over/under at 3.5, with odds for the over at -150 and the under at +110 (bet $100 to win $110).
Taking the over seems like a no-brainer here.
Gatorade color

Predicting the color of the winning coach's Gatorade shower is a time-honored prop bet tradition.
Lime/green/yellow is the favorite here, with 9/4 odds. The other options, in descending order of likelihood, are orange (5/2), red (11/4), clear/water (15/4), blue (10/1) and purple (10/1).
The interesting wrench in this year's Gatorade shower prop bet is that your result will vary wildly depending on which team wins, and that's because Patriots head coach Bill Belichick typically remains dry after his team wins it all, per OddsShark, most recently after the Patriots' win in Super Bowl LI.
Assuming there is a Gatorade bath of some kind, however, orange has been a mainstay in recent years for NFC teams, per OddsShark. If the Eagles follow suit and the Patriots don't douse Belichick, orange is your best bet.
Pink's hair color

You might think it's a given that Pink's hair color would be, uh, pink when she takes the field to sing the national anthem ahead of Super Bowl LII.
And Vegas agrees. Per OddsShark, the odds for Pink's hair color are the highest for pink/red, at 6/4. Next is white/blond, which is the color she's been most recently sporting.
The least likely color for Pink's hair is green, at 5/1 odds.
The other possibilities are brown/black (4/1) and blue/purple (5/1).
You can view a full breakdown of a multitude of Super Bowl prop bets over at OddsShark, including the color of halftime performer Justin Timberlake's shoes and how many times Patriots owner Robert Kraft will be shown on the broadcast.
All odds information according to OddsShark and current as of Jan. 24.
