Jordan Bell Ankle Injury Diagnosed as Inflammation, Out at Least 2 Weeks
Golden State Warriors power forward Jordan Bell is dealing with inflammation in his left ankle after leaving Wednesday's game against the Chicago Bulls in a wheelchair.
Anthony Slater of The Athletic passed along the update Friday and noted Bell will be evaluated in two weeks.
It's positive news for Bell and the Warriors since the injury looked far more serious when it occurred during the opening minute of the game.
Mark Medina of the Bay Area News Group noted the 23-year-old Los Angeles native was already sounded optimistic after Wednesday's contest.
"I'm good. It's not broken," Bell said. "I've had worse injuries, so that's good."
The forward added he hoped to return "sooner than later."
Bell is averaging 5.1 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.1 blocks while shooting 66.4 percent from the floor across 38 appearances (11 starts) for Golden State this season.
David West and JaVale McGee could both see more playing time as part of the Dubs' frontcourt rotation until the rookie is cleared to return.
