Schlittler pitched six scoreless innings against the Reds, amassing a career-high 13 strikeouts without allowing any walks. He also gave up just four hits.
After an impressive rookie season in 2025, Schlittler has lived up to the high expectations that were placed upon him heading into his 2026 campaign.
In 16 starts this year, he compiled an 8-3 record to go along with an American League-leading 1.71 ERA. Schlittler also tallied 109 strikeouts compared to 18 walks in 95 innings of work.
Opposing batters hit just .195 against him heading into Friday's action as well.
Schlittler has been a key rotation piece for a Yankees squad that owns the top spot in the AL East standings, sitting at 46-28.
As for Hart, he showcased his all-around impact throughout the Knicks' recent playoff run that ended with a victory over the San Antonio Spurs in the 2026 NBA Finals. He averaged 10.4 points, 8.9 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 1.7 steals per game in 19 postseason appearances.
