Is a Kurt Angle vs. Triple H Match Inevitable After Stephanie McMahon Segment?
The stage has been set for a WrestleMania 34 match between Raw general manager Kurt Angle and WWE chief operating officer Triple H.
During Angle's apology to the Raw locker room following the attack from SmackDown Superstars last week, commissioner Stephanie McMahon returned for the first time since WrestleMania 33 to verbally chastise the GM.

The notion of tension between McMahon and Angle has been brewing due to the fact that the interactions between commissioners and general managers on WWE programming almost never end well. If you don't believe me, just ask Angle's predecessor Mick Foley.
Not only is it obvious there will be a power struggle for control of Raw, it will also lead to Angle's in-ring return at WrestleMania 34.
Angle's appearance in the main event of the Tables, Ladders and Chairs pay-per-view confirms that he will be in one of the top matches at the biggest show of the year as long as he is healthy in April.
At Survivor Series, Angle should help his team earn a victory and keep his job, but the long-term battle between McMahon and the WWE Hall of Famer has already begun. Following the annual November pay-per-view, Angle and Stephanie will battle back and forth each week to ensure she is making his life a living hell.
Eventually, the verbal battle between Angle and McMahon will reach a boiling point, and Triple H will be brought in to take on the physical aspect of the storyline. Just like The Authority used their power to destroy the life of Daniel Bryan leading to their match at WrestleMania 30, Angle will follow a similar trajectory before finally getting his chance at revenge.
To add even higher stakes to the possible matchup, The Authority will likely force Angle to put his career on the line at WrestleMania, ensuring the WWE Universe has a vested interest in the marquee bout.
The hope would be that Angle earns the victory over Triple H—unlike Sting—and eventually gives up his position as GM of Raw to return as an in-ring competitor.
With guys like Brock Lesnar and John Cena working part-time schedules, Angle would be better served as an attraction used sporadically than a staple of the week-to-week product in a non-wrestling role.
