Zion Williamson Drops 23 in Loss to The Firm at 2017 Adidas Summer Championships
Zion Williamson scored a game-high 23 points Saturday for SC Supreme, but it wasn't enough as they suffered a 59-57 loss to The Firm in the 2017 Adidas Summer Championships at the Cashman Center in Las Vegas.
Williamson, one of the most coveted prospects in the 2018 college basketball recruiting class, made eight of his 15 field-goal attempts and grabbed nine rebounds. But he missed all five shots from beyond the arc and went just seven of 17 from the free-throw line.
The narrow defeat eliminates SC Supreme from the AAU showcase.

Williamson is a 5-star recruit whom Scout rates as the No. 3 overall player in the 2018 class. The outlet lists Duke, Kansas, Kentucky and North Carolina among the high-profile programs showing interest in the top-ranked small forward.
Although his raw talent was on full display once again Saturday at both ends of the floor, he couldn't find a rhythm with his shooting. The only way he was able to find consistent success was by attacking the paint to create early looks around the rim.
Overtime highlighted a steal the forward turned into a dunk off a fast break:
Yet, as exciting and entertaining as those moments are, becoming more reliable from the perimeter is atop Williamson's to-do list if he's going to become a top-end player in college and beyond.
Mike Gribanov of Small-Ball.com commented on the shooting woes:
That said, his potential is still off the charts. The playmaking forward averaged 29.5 points, 3.3 assists, 1.8 steals and 1.5 blocks across his first four games of the tournament before Saturday. He also shot 71.4 percent from the field in those contests, all victories for SC Supreme.
A lot will be made about his inability to convert jump shots this week, but he's got another full season of high school ball to make progress in that area. So don't sell your proverbial Williamson stock quite yet.
