Cristiano Ronaldo Talks Real Madrid Future, Targets More Trophies
Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed his future remains at Real Madrid, despite reports linking him with a move away earlier this summer.
The prolific Portuguese forward says he wants to win more trophies with Los Blancos, per Spanish publication Marca (h/t Jake Lambourne of The Sun).
Ronaldo reflected on last season's success, when he helped Real win both La Liga and the UEFA Champions League while targeting more silverware in the near future, to Marca (h/t Lambourne): “Winning major trophies with my club last year was great, just like the individual trophies. Doing it again would be fine."

The 32-year-old also reaffirmed how committed he is to continuing to play football at the highest level: "You have to work hard, year after year, I will continue to do it. Football is my life, it is my passion."
These words represent Ronaldo's first public proclamation he intends to stay with Los Blancos. In the process, the words bring to an end a brief period during which the free-scoring talisman was continually tipped to move away from Spain's top flight.
The rumours began with murmurings Ronaldo wanted to quit Real after being accused of tax fraud, per BBC Sport's Dan Roan. As talk of an exit built, Ronaldo was linked with a return to former club Manchester United, per Kaveh Solhekol of Sky Sports News HQ.
Things came to a head earlier this month when Manu Sainz of AS (h/t MailOnline's Robert Cottingham) reported Ronaldo has been advised to stay with Los Merengues.

Real manager Zinedine Zidane then assured supporters the prolific No. 7 would stay during an interview with ESPN FC (h/t ESPN.co.uk).
Yet for all the assurances of others, the words of the player himself will ring loudest. Ronaldo's consistent goalscoring excellence has been the catalyst for Los Blancos winning the Champions League three times in the last four years.
The veteran forward remains the focal point of Zidane's forward line, the player Real's squad is built around. His desire to continue chasing major trophies is great news for the club and a warning to Real's strongest rivals, both domestically and in Europe.
