WWE Raw: Potential Spoilers, Rumors, News and Preview for July 24
WWE Raw is taking a very SmackDown approach on Monday night, announcing a number of matches well in advance.
Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins will continue their tenuous alliance in a collision with The Miz and The Miztourage. Finn Balor will get another crack at Raw's resident songbird. And Sasha Banks and Bayley will forgo their friendship for the evening when they meet in a No. 1 Contender's match.
And all those bouts will help construct the SummerSlam card.

As of now, the Aug. 20 pay-per-view has one official match lined up—Naomi vs. Natalya for the SmackDown Women's Championship. Monday's Raw promises to add to that with the women's title and Universal Championship pictures growing clearer. Plus, fans will get a better idea of how Superstars like Ambrose and Rollins fit into the SummerSlam puzzle.
What's ahead for the red brand's stars?
Backstage news, an injury note and the Raw preview on WWE.com help provide a look ahead at the latest Raw. The show will emanate from Washington, D.C.'s Verizon Center and air Monday at 8 p.m. ET on USA Network.
News, Potential Spoilers
It looks like fans are set to see a lot of Jason Jordan.
Raw general manager Kurt Angle revealed last week that Jordan is his long-lost son. And Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet reported that this storyline is set to be a lengthy one. He added: "Sources with direct knowledge tell us Jordan is set for a solid midcard level push following the reveal."
Many of the heels on that level are busy at the moment, but things should shift ahead of SummerSlam to make way for Jordan's rise.
Balor will enter battle on Monday at less than 100 percent. On Sunday's Figure Four Online daily update, Dave Meltzer noted: "Balor may have gotten banged up on Friday night's show in Fayetteville as he was wearing Kinesio tape on his surgically repaired shoulder at last night's house show in Hampton."
The former NXT champ may have to limit spots that deal big damage to that shoulder.
And it looks as if the universal champ won't be around on this stretch of the road to SummerSlam. Wrestling Inc's Marc Middleton noted Brock Lesnar is not scheduled for Monday's show.
Raw Streaks
The Revival is already looking like a force within the Raw tag team division.
Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder knocked off The Hardy Boyz last Monday, pushing their winning streak to four, including a 3-0 mark on Raw, per CageMatch.net. In fact, The Revival has won every one of its matches since moving up to the main roster.
That's miles away from how SmackDown approached showcasing The Vaudevillains and The Ascension last year.
Drew Gulak, meanwhile, is finding out that unless you're Neville, it doesn't pay to be a heel in the cruiserweight division.
His most recent clash on Raw was a loss in tag team action against Jack Gallagher and Mustafa Ali. That continued a recent pattern. According to CageMatch.net, Gulak has last four matches on Raw and dropped four consecutive bouts overall.
It's hard to take him seriously as a threat to anyone with such a poor record.
SummerSlam Taking Shape
In a partial reunion of The Shield, Ambrose and Rollins are set to team up once again.
Rollins has found himself caught up in Ambrose's feud with The Miz. He'll fight alongside The Lunatic Fringe in a Handicap match on the latest Raw against The Miz, Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel.
This match is worth watching if only to see how Ambrose and Rollins' relationship progresses. Thus far, Ambrose has been wary of his old ally. And Rollins has made it clear that he's more concerned with going after The Miz than repairing his friendship with Ambrose.
And a No. 1 Contender's match on Monday is set to decide who takes on Alexa Bliss at SummerSlam for the Raw Women's Championship.

Friends Banks and Bayley will need to go through each other for that opportunity. They will have to both keep an eye out for Nia Jax, Bliss' powerhouse protector, too.
This match would be a good spot for the long-teased Banks heel turn to happen should The Boss find her pursuit of gold more important than maintaining her bond with Bayley.
In addition, Balor will clash with Elias Samson in a No Disqualification match. This will allow Balor a shot at revenge. When these two met last week, The Drifter broke a guitar over Balor's head.
Should Balor get past Samson, he knows Bray Wyatt won't be far behind. The Eater of Worlds has lingered around the former NXT champ, laughing at his misfortune.
A SummerSlam meeting between the two is likely in the works.
Monday's Raw also promises fallout from the Jordan-Angle story. Last week, Angle told the world about his secret. On Monday, the soap opera will continue.
A key question is who Jordan will feud with to facilitate his current push.
Uncertainty surrounds the Universal Championship chase, as well. Samoa Joe, Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns all believe they should be the one to challenge Lesnar for that title at SummerSlam.
Reigns and Joe's No. 1 Contender's match ended in a no-contest thanks to Strowman going on a rampage.
Now what? Angle promised on the most recent Raw that he will figure out a way to resolve this. All signs point to a Fatal 4-Way match between all the hosses.
Monday's SummerSlam should reveal if that bout is indeed on its way.
