Kenneth Dixon Reportedly Underwent Season-Ending Surgery on Knee Injury
Baltimore Ravens running back Kenneth Dixon reportedly will miss the season after he underwent surgery for a torn meniscus on Tuesday, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Rapoport noted Dixon's official timeline for return is four to five months.
Expectations were somewhat high for Dixon in his rookie season. But a torn MCL in the 2016 preseason delayed the fourth-round pick's regular-season debut, and he failed to make a significant impact in the Baltimore backfield when he did feature. Dixon ran for 382 yards and two touchdowns in 12 appearances.

The 23-year-old had another setback ahead of the 2017 campaign when he received a four-game suspension for a violation of the NFL's performance-enhancing drug policy.
Between Lorenzo Taliaferro, Javorius Allen and Terrance West, the Ravens shouldn't have trouble filling the void Dixon leaves in the running game. Baltimore also signed Danny Woodhead, who missed all but two games in 2016 but remains one of the NFL's better pass-catching running backs.
