PSG Director Reportedly in London to Finalise Alexis Sanchez's Transfer
Paris Saint-Germain's sporting director, Antero Henrique, has flown to London to hold discussions with Arsenal over the transfer of forward Alexis Sanchez.
That's according to Le Parisien (h/t James Whaling of the Daily Mirror), which has stated PSG have jumped ahead of Manchester City in the chase for the Chile international.
Sport Witness provided more details and cited another report from FootMercato that suggested this potential transfer is edging closer to completion:
As noted by Whaling, Sanchez has just one year remaining on his contract at the Emirates Stadium, meaning he'd be free to leave the club for nothing next summer should the Gunners opt against cashing in now.
There would also be a reluctance on the part of Arsenal to sell to a potential title rival like City. PSG could provide a solution to the problem.
Unai Emery, the manager at the Parc des Princes, has also made it clear the club are seeking to get a massive name through the door.
"PSG wants the best players in the world, who are in the best clubs in the world," he said, per Whaling. "If we want to compete with Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Real Madrid and win the Champions League, then PSG must have a player of the world top five. We are trying to get one signed this summer."

According to Jonathan Johnson of ESPN FC, as well as the Arsenal man, PSG are also seeking to sign Barcelona forward Neymar for a potential world-record fee.
The French giants seem intent on making a statement in the summer window by pursuing the likes of Neymar and Sanchez. But, according to James Robson of the Manchester Evening News, City shouldn't be ruled out of the pursuit of the latter:
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has made it clear he does not want to sell Sanchez this summer. And should he stay for the upcoming campaign, the Gunners will have a remarkable amount of firepower to call upon.

After all, they spent big money to sign Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon, while Mesut Ozil also boasts the guile needed to scythe through even the tightest of defences. Sanchez, a multi-purpose and explosive threat, would complete a devastating, three-pronged forward line.
However, if PSG do come in with a sizeable offer for Sanchez, there'll be a major temptation to cash in at the Emirates Stadium.
