D'Onta Foreman Charged with Marijuana Possession, Unlawful Carrying of Weapon
Houston Texans running back D'Onta Foreman was arrested early Sunday and charged with marijuana possession and unlawful carrying of a weapon at the University of Texas.
Foreman, who played for the Longhorns from 2014-2016, was arrested around 3 a.m. Sunday, according to records obtained by Brian Davis of the American-Statesman.
“[Officers] responded to a report of the smell of marijuana coming from three occupied vehicles near the southwest side of San Jacinto residence hall on campus,” a University of Texas Police Department statement said. “Officers arrived on the scene discovered marijuana in each vehicle and also discovered a firearm in one of them.

“The owner of the firearm, D’Onta Foreman, was arrested for Unlawful Carrying of Weapons and Possession of Marijuana and booked into Travis County Jail. Six other male suspects were cited and released for Possession of Marijuana.
“None of them are UT students and they are not believed to have UT affiliations.”
Foreman's attorney released a statement clarifying the running back's account of what happened, per Davis:
Foreman was the No. 89 pick in April's draft after a breakout junior season at Texas. He rushed for 2,028 yards and 15 touchdowns, winning the Doak Walker Award for the nation's top running back.
If he pleads guilty to any of the charges, Foreman could be subject to both the NFL's drug and personal conduct policy. An arrest for a marijuana possession would work the same way as a positive test, which would put Foreman into the league's repeater testing program.
The weapons charge would be up to the discretion of NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, who handles personal conduct discipline.
Foreman was released Sunday on bond.
