Liverpool Draw with Wigan Athletic Behind Mohamed Salah's Equaliser in Friendly
Liverpool drew 1-1 as they travelled to Wigan Athletic for a pre-season friendly on Friday, with Mohamed Salah scoring in his debut for the Reds.
Alex Gilbey gave Wigan the lead in the first half, but Salah equalised shortly before half-time.
The Anfield giants had chances to win late in the game but missed several good opportunities as they ran out of legs.
Liverpool began the match with Salah in attack alongside Brazilian duo Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho.

Salah was impressive from the opening whistle, showing pace and guile at every opportunity with the ball at his feet.
The Egyptian was impossible to mark with his movement and was a constant menace in the first half.
Adam Lallana combined well with the Egyptian as they dovetailed moving forward, and the England midfielder went close to providing an opener.
However, it was the hosts who stole the lead after 21 minutes. Gilbey slotted home after a free-kick from Michael Jacobs.

The goal reignited Liverpool's endeavour, and Salah and Coutinho moved through the gears until the equaliser was found on the stroke of half-time.
Coutinho played in Firmino, and he, in turn, found Salah for the most straightforward of chances to make it 1-1 at the interval.
Manager Jurgen Klopp rang the changes at half-time, and Liverpool confirmed a fresh XI:
James Milner and Jordan Henderson added experience and began to influence proceedings, but Wigan held their own as they made three substitutions.
Daniel Sturridge appeared mobile and enthused as he ran the channels, with a big season ahead for the England international.
The Reds almost claimed the lead with 15 minutes remaining as Dejan Lovren's header clipped the post after excellent work from Milner.
Liverpool's younger talent did themselves justice with their opportunities to perform for Klopp, but the established players were clearly lacking fitness.
Sturridge and Milner should have both scored in the final minutes of the contest, but both players were found wanting at the vital moment.
Klopp will be pleased to see his top players feature and gain valuable minutes, but all of his squad will need plenty of football ahead of the Premier League kick-off on this showing.
