Scottish Open 2017: Padraig Harrington Part of 3-Way Tie for Lead
There is a three-way tie at the top of the leaderboard at the 2017 Scottish Open, as Padraig Harrington, Alexander Knappe and Callum Shinkwin remain on nine-under for the tournament.
It was another poor day for Rory McIlroy, who missed the cut after ending the second round on one-over par.
Harrington set the early pace in the second round, carding a four-under 68 to head the leaderboard after lunch.

Recap
Harrington remains at nine under for the championship as the action enters the weekend, but it was Knappe who scored a round of 65 to make up the most ground at the summit.
Starting on the back nine, Harrington achieved four birdies as he avoided falling over par for his entire round.
The European Tour highlighted the player's outstanding approach play with his irons:
Knappe's work on the greens was impressive, and he completed seven birdies and a tremendous eagle on No. 13.
Shinkwin had shot a 67 on the opening day of action, and he followed that with a solid round of 68 on Friday.
Mikko Ilonen's charge fell away after leading the standings overnight. The Finnish star shot a two-over 74 to lose the top spot.
Ilonen sank three bogies and could not find the outstanding rhythm he had on the opening day.

Matt Kuchar moved through the field as he finished four birdie opportunities, but bogies on No. 5 and No. 18 left him at six under for the tournament.
The American was accurate as he attacked the greens, and he is well positioned moving into the third round.
Ian Poulter remains just one shot off the lead following an excellent performance on the first day. The Englishman has recaptured his lost form and could be a contender over the final rounds.

Poulter's holing out has improved, and he finished off six birdie opportunities to end his day at eight under for the tournament.
The competition is wide open as the third round approaches with 11 men within four shots of the lead.
