Arsenal's Chances of Signing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to New Deal 'Virtually Nil'
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is reportedly "increasingly likely to leave [Arsenal] this summer," and the chances of him penning a new deal with the Gunners are "virtually nil."
According to Sky Sports News HQ, the Englishman has only one year left remaining on his current Arsenal deal and "contract negotiations are at an impasse" amid rumours linking Oxlade-Chamberlain with Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea.
The report also stated no new talks are planned over tying the England international to a new deal, while Oxlade-Chamberlain has become frustrated by the lack of progress.
Liverpool have been regularly linked to the 23-year-old since the end of the 2016-17 season, and Reds manager Jurgen Klopp is said to be "a confirmed admirer of his energy, explosiveness and ability to perform a variety of attacking roles," per Jonathan Northcroft in the Sunday Times.

It is easy to imagine why Oxlade-Chamberlain might be open to a move to Anfield as he would likely be afforded more first-team opportunities than he has been granted at the Emirates Stadium.
He has been at Arsenal for six years but still struggles to earn a regular spot in the starting XI—13 of his 29 Premier League appearances in 2016-17 came from the bench, per WhoScored.com.
He is also used in a number of different positions by manager Arsene Wenger and ended last term playing in an unfamiliar wing-back role.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has failed yet to make good on the huge potential he showed as a teenager, but a change of club and more regular game time could be hugely beneficial to him.
If Arsenal fail to tie him to new terms this summer it seems very likely they will let him go so as not to risk losing him for free next year.
