Andy Sullivan, Tommy Fleetwood and Thomas Pieters are locked in a three-way tie for third following a topsy-turvy day in the French capital when multiple players, including Paul Waring, exchanged the lead.

Fleetwood was part of the tie in third after shooting a solid 71 despite his round also featuring a trio of bogeys.
Yet no player depicted the sudden shifts of fortune on this day more than Paul Waring, who worked his way into the lead, only to lose his advantage and then regain it, before eventually finishing tied for seventh.
Waring didn't start well, slipping to a bogey on the par-four first, before another bogey at the sixth. However, in between, the Englishman sank back-to-back birdies at the third and fourth to define his efforts on the front nine.
He started the back nine with another birdie, before taking the lead with this birdie putt on the tricky par-five 14th, per the European Tour official Twitter account:
Disaster struck for Waring one hole later, though, when a double bogey temporarily dropped him into a tie for sixth and let a large group contest first. Yet Waring rallied on the 16th, thanks to this terrific birdie putt, and moved back to within a shot of the lead:
However, Waring's erratic day was summed up by the double bogey on the 18th to finish one over par and drop him to seventh on the leaderboard.
Sullivan and Pieters were among those who had tried to keep pace with the leader. The latter overcame ending the front nine with a bogey to secure birdies at the 10th, 11th and 15th holes.
It was on the 15th where Pieters was denied a spectacular putt by hitting the pin:
The Belgian followed this with par at the 16th to move into the group at the top.
As for Sullivan, he also started the back nine with consecutive birdies, before finishing strong by completing the par-three 16 with a shot to spare. Par on the 17th helped Sullivan take a share of the lead.
The group also included Uihlein, once the American snapped a long run of par with a birdie at the 14th. After starting with a bogey, Uihlein had found par on every other hole leading up to the 14th.
His birdie gave him a one-shot lead at the top after Sullivan couldn't do any better than par at the final hole. Meanwhile, Bjork soon joined Uihlein at the top after hitting three birdies over the back nine.
The last of those birdies was completed thanks to this superb shot on the 16th:
Both players traded pars on the 17th, before Bjork put too much swerve into an attempted birdie putt on the final hole. Instead, the Swede settled for par, while Uihlein could only manage the same.
If Saturday is anything to go by, the fourth and final round of this Open is sure to be a dramatic and unpredictable affair, with as many as six likely winners difficult to choose between.
