Women's PGA Championship 2017: Sei Young Kim, Danielle Kang Tied for Lead
If the first two days of the Women's PGA Championship have been any indication, the weekend at Olympia Fields Country Club in Olympia Fields, Illinois, should be a tight-knit affair that's decided at the wire.
Through two rounds, Sei Young Kim and Danielle Kang share the lead at seven under, with a pack of four players—headlined by Chella Choi and Amy Yang—lingering one shot back at six under.
Here's an overview of the top of the leaderboard, with complete standings available through the LPGA's official website:

Kim and Kang have shot identical scores of 69-66 through 36 holes, and they were both in fine form Friday as they carded six and five birdies, respectively.
The only difference on their scorecards was that Kang played a clean, bogey-free round, while Kim was tripped up early with a bogey on No. 3.
Nevertheless, Kim looked sharp once that early slip-up was behind her, as the LPGA showed on Twitter:
The weekend figures to be a nervy time for those two, though, since Yang and Choi were able to hang around even though they didn't score particularly well.
Yang, who shot a 65 to lead after Round 1, tallied an even-par 71 Friday. Choi, meanwhile, had a rocky day that included three bogeys and four birdies to shoot one under and move to six under for the championship.
Still holding steady, Yang and Choi should both be considered threats to leapfrog their way to the top of the leaderboard—especially if Kim and Kang can't keep funneling birdies into the cup at high rates.
Not to be overlooked is defending champion Brooke Henderson, who is in prime position to unseat the leaders after she followed up a first-round 68 with a second-round 69.
Now two shots back of the lead, Henderson is within striking distance of capturing back-to-back wins after she came out on top at the Meijer LPGA Classic.
Outside of the top contenders, the most notable round of the day belonged to Kelly Shon.
Although she started the day in a tie for 126th place following an opening-round 77, Shon throttled her way into red numbers by shooting an eight-under 63 that was punctuated by an eagle on the par-five 18th.
Golf Channel's Randall Mell noted Shon's performance had historic implications:
Shon will need to harness some of that brilliance to wiggle her way into contention Saturday, but if that effort was any indication, she has the chops to make one more big move before the weekend is over.
