Nationals SS Trea Turner Placed on 10-Day DL with Hand Injury
One day after fracturing his right wrist after being hit by a pitch, Washington Nationals shortstop Trea Turner has been placed on the disabled list.
Per WTOP's George Wallace, the Nationals called up infielder Adrian Sanchez after Turner was placed on the 10-day disabled list Friday.
Turner was hit by a pitch from Chicago Cubs reliever Pedro Strop in the bottom of the seventh inning. He remained in the game for the eighth inning before being taken out in the top of the ninth.

Chelsea Janes of the Washington Post reported there is no timetable for Turner's return to the Nationals.
With Turner unavailable, the Nationals will likely use Stephen Drew as their primary shortstop. They also have Sanchez in the mix, with Anthony Rendon as a potential emergency option.
In 68 games this season, Turner leads Major League Baseball with 35 stolen bases and is hitting .279/.324/.422.
