Mitchell Trubisky Says He Won't Hold out to Get Bears Contract Done
Chicago Bears rookie quarterback Mitchell Trubisky has yet to agree to a contract, but he said Friday that he won't hold out.
According to Patrick Finley of the Chicago Sun-Times, the 2017 No. 2 overall draft pick said he plans to be present at training camp and practicing regardless of his contract situation:
"I'm not going to miss any practices or anything like that. I'm excited to sign my contract as soon as possible, however that goes down. But I don't see that being held out through training camp; even if it did, I'm going to be practicing and all that. I'm looking forward to getting it done as soon as possible. I'm a Chicago Bear, no matter if they let me sign or what. I guess not, but I am."

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Despite being the highest pick yet to sign, Trubisky said he is not concerned: "[My agents] tell me not to worry. It's going to get taken care of. I'm going to be ready to go for training camp. My mind will be in the right spot."
The Bears moved up one spot in the draft to select Trubisky and make him their signal-caller of the future after he had a big junior year at North Carolina.
Last season, Trubisky threw for 3,748 yards, 30 touchdowns and six interceptions, while rushing for 308 yards and five more scores.
Prior to drafting Trubisky, the Bears signed former Tampa Bay Buccaneers backup quarterback Mike Glennon to be their starter.
Glennon is currently penciled in to start in 2017, and further delay in Trubisky's contract negotiations may solidify that fact moving forward.
