Runner Spells 'Warriors 2017 NBA Champs' Via 50-Mile Journey

Any fan can make a sign or banner to celebrate their favorite team's accomplishments.

One man took this idea to a different level to commemorate the Golden State Warriors winning the 2017 NBA Finals. 

As Aaron Torres of the Washington Post explained, 48-year-old Jim Plunkett-Cole recently completed a journey through San Francisco to spell out the phrase "Warriors 2017 NBA Champs."

Per Torres, Plunkett-Cole originally believed his run would take 30 miles to finish, but the Englishman ultimately journeyed a little over 50 miles in total before putting the finishing touches on his visual masterpiece. 

Honoring the Warriors is only part of a larger goal. Plunkett-Cole is attempting to imitate the fictional run made by the character Forrest Gump in the eponymous film, and he is hoping to cover 20,000 miles across three years in the process:
