Liverpool Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Marco Asensio and Daniel Sturridge
Real Madrid are set to include a £310 million release clause in a new contract for Marco Asensio after interest from Liverpool.
Ed Malyon of The Independent (h/t Metro's Mark Brus) reported Los Blancos are ready to hand the promising attacker a new long-term deal to ward off circling clubs.
The Reds made a £50 million offer for the Spanish prodigy in January but failed in their attempts to land the dynamic youngster. Malyon said Asensio's new deal could run until 2023.

According to Diario Gol (h/t Joel Watson of the Daily Star), Arsenal and Juventus have also been tracking the 21-year-old's situation at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. The starlet is said to be considering a move away from the Spanish capital if Real purchase a player whose presence reduces his playing time.

Asensio made 12 starts for his club in La Liga and the UEFA Champions League, per WhoScored.com, scoring six goals and providing three assists.
It is no surprise Real wish to tie the player down to a long-term contract, but he will continue to attract suitors while he is primarily used as a substitute by coach Zinedine Zidane.
In other Reds news, Liverpool want £40 million if Daniel Sturridge departs Anfield, but teams are reluctant to part with the sum for his services.
According to Joe Bernstein of MailOnline (h/t Jack Otway of the Daily Express), West Ham United and Paris Saint-Germain are interested in taking the striker, but his asking price is too inflated.

The England international has been hit by persistent injury problems in recent seasons and would be a huge risk for any potential buyer at the stated price.
Sturridge has struggled to convince manager Jurgen Klopp of his merits and has spent more time on the bench than he would have liked.
The player scored just three goals in 20 Premier League appearances last term, per WhoScored, with form becoming a major issue throughout the campaign.
Sturridge's time at Liverpool does seem to be coming to an end, and a move to another team should give his career the reboot it needs.
