Julio Jones at Center of Lawsuit Involving Agents Pat Dye Jr., Jimmy Sexton
Among the biggest points of contention in a lawsuit between agents Pat Dye Jr. and Jimmy Sexton is the defection of Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones from SportsTrust Advisors to Creative Artists Agency.
According to Creg Stephenson of AL.com, Dye Jr. filed the lawsuit against Sexton in January 2016.
Dye and Sexton were partners until the latter left SportsTrust Advisors for CAA in 2011. Dye accused Sexton of stealing clients, including Jones.

In the suit, Sexton is accused of "breach of contract, unjust enrichment, fraud, breach of fiduciary duties, violation of trade secrets and tortious interference," per Stephenson.
Dye alleged Sexton went out of his way to build a relationship with Jones in an attempt to lure him to CAA once he branched off in 2011.
Sexton is also accused of using his relationship with Jones to land fellow Alabama alumni Trent Richardson and Mark Barron as clients.
As part of the lawsuit, Dye alleged Sexton attempted to recruit both Jones and running back Darren Sproles as clients while still in a partnership with Dye.
Jones eventually switched agents from Dye to Sexton in 2013.
The 28-year-old wideout is among the NFL's elite pass-catchers, with four Pro Bowl and two first-team All-Pro nods to his credit.
Jones has topped the 1,000-yard receiving mark on four occasions, and he is coming off a 2016 regular season during which he hauled in 83 receptions for 1,409 yards and six touchdowns for the NFC champion Falcons.
