WWE 205 Live Results: Winners, Grades, Reaction and Highlights from June 6
Neville managed to retain his Cruiserweight Championship against Austin Aries for the third time at Extreme Rules, but The King of the Cruiserweights didn't have any time to celebrate his win.
After turning on TJP during Monday's Raw, Neville agreed to put the title on the line Tuesday night on 205 Live.
WWE has a lot of work to do with the cruiserweight division, but one thing it has done right is building everything around Neville. He has become one of the best heels in the company, and he continues to put on show-stealing performances with great consistency.
We also saw Cedric Alexander reignite his feud with Noam Dar, and Drew Gulak continued his quest to have high-flying moves banned in the division.
Let's take a look at everything that happened on this week's episode of 205 Live.
Cedric Alexander vs. Noam Dar
1 of 3After a video package hyping the Cruiserweight Championship match between Neville and TJP, Noam Dar made his way to the ring sans Alicia Fox.
The Scottish Supernova spoke about his feud with Rich Swann and how he stole Foxy from Cedric Alexander, who he also happened to be facing in the first match of the night.
Alexander's presence on 205 Live has been sorely missed, but he made sure everyone remembered what he was capable of during this encounter.
After he and Dar put on a competitive match, Alexander picked up the victory with his signature Lumbar Check. He told Dar he was done with this feud before leaving the ring to celebrate his win.

Notes and Highlights
- TJP jumping at the sound of Neville's pyro reminds me of Eric Young's old character in TNA who used to fall down the ramp every time his pyro went off. It was hilarious.
- So many people in the cruiserweight division would benefit from a heel or face turn. Dar should be a babyface. He got such a positive response during the Cruiserweight Classic.
- Dar looked better in this match than he has in a long time. Not having Fox at ringside to distract from the action allowed him to focus on his technique.
- Alexander's finisher looks like it would be hard to perform for anyone, but he always makes it look easy.
Mustafa Ali vs. Louie Valle
2 of 3Mustafa Ali is somewhat of an unknown quantity at the moment. He has picked up enough wins to indicate WWE wants to do something with him, but he has yet to enter into a serious feud.
He took on an unknown competitor by the name of Louie Valle, who might be the shortest man to ever compete on 205 Live.
This was built to be an easy win for Ali, but Valle got in a surprising amount of offense for a jobber. He delivered some stiff strikes, making everyone momentarily forget he was giving up several inches in height.
As Ali was preparing to deliver an inverted 450, Drew Gulak tried to provide a distraction with a bullhorn from the stage. Ali still got the win by reversing a pinning combination, and Gulak used his victory to point out how he could win without using dangerous high-flying moves.
Grade: C-
Notes and Highlights
- Commentator Tom Phillips taking the time to mention Valle not being related to Frankie Valli was surprisingly funny.
- We have seen too many babyfaces swayed by heels to turn to the dark side lately, so it was nice to see Ali refuse Gulak's offer to join his campaign.
- Gulak looked a lot tougher with a beard.
TJP vs. Neville (Cruiserweight Championship)
3 of 3This bout had a strange feel early on due to both men being heels. The crowd didn't know who it was supposed to cheer for, which always makes things awkward.
TJP didn't seem intimidated during the official introductions, and he continued to show defiance by upstaging The King of the Cruiserweights in the early moments of the match.
Neville continued to shine as the vicious champion he has been for the past several months, so TJP almost became the underdog favorite by default.
As the action progressed, the champ became more and more brutal with his attacks, which forced TJP to reach deeper into his bag of trick to combat Neville's onslaught.
After both men gave a performance on par with Sunday's cruiserweight title match, Neville countered the kneebar and locked in the Rings of Saturn to retain his championship for the second time this week.

Notes and Highlights
- Titus O'Neil was shown trying to recruit Akira Tozawa to The Titus Brand on the advice of Apollo Crews. O'Neil telling Swann to put on a dress shirt was the best part. Swann was also shown speaking Japanese to Tozawa beforehand, proving he is more worldly than some might think.
- TJP looked more focused than he has in a long time. Not worrying about dabbing so much made him more enjoyable to watch.
- Seeing TJP use the tarantula submission makes me miss Tajiri.
