Nordea Masters 2017: Renato Paratore Wins 1st European Tour Title
Renato Paratore won his first European Tour title after claiming the 2017 Nordea Masters in Malmo, Sweden on Sunday. The 20-year-old Italian finished 11-under, just one shot ahead of Chris Wood and 2016 winner Matthew Fitzpatrick at the Barseback Golf and Country Club.
Wood came unstuck after driving into the rough on the 18th and had to settle for a bogey and a tie for second with Fitzpatrick on 10-under.
Paratore now collects the €250,001 available from the total €1,500,000 prize money.
The full and final leaderboard is available at the European Tour official website.

Recap
Last year's champion Fitzpatrick set the pace for the clubhouse with shots like this one on the par-four 18, per The European Tour official Twitter account:
This was the final of seven birdies for Fitzpatrick during his round. The Englishman also survived a double bogey on the par-four three.
Unfortunately for Fitzpatrick, Wood and Paratore weren't letting up. The latter birdied the par-four 14th in some style to move ahead of Wood:
Paratore had already wrapped up the front nine with back-to-back birdies, before holing two more on the back nine. The Italian became the new clubhouse leader when he managed par over each of the final four holes to finish with a round of 70.
His steady play had been keeping him at the top, but Wood stayed in touch, despite a card very much feast or famine on the day.
The Englishman suffered a trio of bogeys on the front nine, but also sank five birdies ahead of the 17th, including this one at the par-four 10:
Later, Paratore faced an anxious wait to see what Wood could manage on the par-four 18. Here were the potential outcomes awaiting Wood after play on the final hole:
Sadly, Wood soon found himself in the rough. After a lengthy search for the ball, Wood had to swing out from the trees at a tricky angle.
He had just under 130 yards to cover to make the hole, but as this image showed, the odds were against him:
Wood's drive ended up in the bunker on the edge of the green, meaning he had to hole out from the sand to force a playoff. It proved too big an ask, and his chip from the bunker skipped just wide of the hole to give Paratore his first professional win.
