Pete Carroll Says Seahawks Don't Plan to Sign 'Starter' Colin Kaepernick
If free-agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick is going to sign with a team for the 2017 season, it doesn't sound like it will be with the Seattle Seahawks.
Per Sheil Kapadia of ESPN, Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said on Friday he sees Kaepernick as "a starter in this league," and added they "have a starter" in Russell Wilson.
When asked if the Seahawks had moved on from Kaepernick, Kapadia noted Carroll said the team is always looking to improve and kept the door open.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Since opting out of his deal with the San Francisco 49ers in March, Kaepernick has been unable to generate much interest on the free-agent market. He met with the Seahawks on May 24 about potentially joining the team in a backup role.
In 11 games as a starter for the 49ers last season, Kaepernick threw for 2,241 yards with 16 touchdowns and four interceptions. He also generated a lot of attention for kneeling during the national anthem prior to games in protest of racial inequality and police brutality in the United States.
