Belmont Stakes 2017: Post Time, TV Coverage, NBC Live Stream and Purse Payout
Saturday marks the end of the 2017 Triple Crown season with the running of the Belmont Stakes, with one horse prepared to take home the title in the 1.5-mile Test of the Champion.
There will also be a third winner in this year's Triple Crown after Kentucky Derby champion Always Dreaming and Preakness Stakes champion Cloud Computing were held out of running in New York due to the grueling schedule both horses have taken on in 2017.
Their absence opens the door for the field to achieve immortality in the most difficult leg of the Triple Crown.

Prediction

With Always Dreaming and Cloud Computing out of the field, along with Classic Empire being forced to withdraw, Lookin At Lee is the only horse to finish in the top four at the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes taking part in the Belmont Stakes.
Lookin At Lee came out ahead of Classic Empire at the Kentucky Derby when he finished second, though he was still 2 3/4 lengths behind Always Dreaming.
This is the last chance for Lookin At Lee to end the most important season of his career on a high note. Trainer Steve Asmussen views the horse's strength as an asset heading into Saturday's race.
"He's a unique horse in how strong he is, how he takes things, how he comes out of his races, how gritty he is, how durable he is," he said, via Daily Racing Form's Jay Privman. "We realize how fortunate we are."
Lookin At Lee hasn't won a race since the Ellis Park Juvenile last August, with three second-place finishes over his last eight events.
Irish War Cry comes into Belmont as the betting favorite with 3-1 odds. The Isabelle de Tomaso horse appeared to be destined for a big Triple Crown season after winning the Wood Memorial but disappointed with a 10th-place finish at the Kentucky Derby and skipped the Preakness Stakes.
Vinnie Iyer of the Sporting News did put a positive spin on what happened to Irish War Cry at Churchill Downs in looking at why he could pull off the win on Saturday:
"Irish War Cry was a big disappointment in his first Group 1 test at the Kentucky Derby, fading to a 10th-place finish. But how he stayed with Always Dreaming up until the final two of 10 furlongs has encouraged trainer Graham Motion that his horse will be more relaxed to go the distance on Saturday. Given he won four of his first lesser-grade races, Irish War Cry, the favorite to win the Belmont, is leaning toward more boom than bust after the pressure of the Derby experience."
This field is so wide open because of the horses not racing that it wouldn't be a surprise to see any one of the 11 remaining entrants come out on top. There is nothing close to an American Pharoah running in New York.
There is no handicapping the Belmont Stakes this year. It's basically trying to throw a dart at a board to see what sticks.
