Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
Trout's status for the All-Star Game is in doubt after the Angels announced on Monday the reigning AL MVP would undergo surgery to repair the torn UCL in his left thumb that will keep him out for six to eight weeks.
Judge has been a breakout star for the first-place Yankees with an MLB-leading 17 home runs. The 24-year-old also has a .323 batting average and 1.112 OPS.
Elsewhere, playing in the World Series last October has had a positive effect for the Cleveland Indians. Star shortstop Francisco Lindor has a commanding lead to start his first All-Star Game after being a reserve last year, and six other players rank in the top five of their respective positions.
The tightest races are at second base where Starlin Castro and Jose Altuve are separated by fewer than 600 votes and third base where Manny Machado holds a 5,462-vote edge over Miguel Sano.
The Yankees currently have the most projected starters for the All-Star Game with two. Mookie Betts is the only Boston Red Sox player currently in position to start for the AL, ranking third among outfielders.
