Blue Jays' Kevin Pillar Makes Astonishing Leaping Catch vs. Indians
Toronto Blue Jays pitchers should never take Kevin Pillar's defense for granted.
In the sixth inning of Monday night's game against the Cleveland Indians, Jose Ramirez appeared to launch an extra-base hit which would have scored at least one, possibly two runs off Toronto starter Marcus Stroman. Pillar had other plans.
The defensive dynamo sprinted back and made an astounding catch for the frame's final out.

Stroman, who exited the inning and game without relinquishing a run because of the play, showed his appreciation on Twitter:

Despite allowing a pair of runs in the eighth inning, the Blue Jays preserved a 4-2 victory.
One of the league's finest center fielders, Pillar has been a Gold Glove finalist in each of the past two seasons. Kevin Kiermaier of the Tampa Bay Rays, however, edged out his American League East foe both times.
With plays like that, Pillar will once again belong in the discussion this year.
