4-Star ATH Prospect Tre'Shaun Harrison Commits to Oregon over USC, UCLA, Others
The Oregon Ducks added another piece to their recruiting class Tuesday as 4-star athlete prospect Tre'Shaun Harrison committed to the school.
Harrison announced his decision on Twitter:
One of the more versatile talents in the 2018 class, Harrison gained 1,480 all-purpose yards during his junior season. He hauled in 45 receptions for 866 yards and five touchdowns, adding 535 yards and four scores on the ground.
"For a coach, he’s everything you want your player to be," Garfield head coach Joey Thomas told David McKinney of Rivals. "He works hard, and does things the right way. You would never know that he is the type of player he is. He just wants to play ball, and that’s one of the things I love about him.
"The thing I love about him is, the bigger the game, the bigger his performance is. You can go back and watch film of every big game we had, and he always showed out."
Scout.com ranks the Seattle native as the No. 264 overall prospect and 14th-best athlete in the 2018 class. He ranks eighth in the West Coast and is the top-ranked athlete in the state of Washington.
Washington and Michigan were seen as potential early landing spots. The Huskies were given a 67 percent chance of landing Harrison around the 2017 signing day by 247Sports, with the Wolverines taking the remaining 33 percent.
Finding a position for Harrison will be integral to his success at the next level. He could realistically play running back or wide receiver—or even switch sides of the ball and play cornerback. That jack-of-all-trades-master-of-none spot can work in college football, but it's best for his future if Oregon coach Willie Taggart finds where he's most comfortable.
