PSG Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Marco Verratti Amid Exit Rumours
Paris Saint-Germain could reportedly find themselves at risk of losing star midfielder Marco Verratti unless they're ready to open their wallet and spend big in the summer transfer window.
According to French newspaper Le Parisien (h/t TalkSport), Verratti is interested by the prospect of joining Bayern Munich, Manchester United or Chelsea and could depart unless PSG invest in their squad at the end of this season.
It's said the Italy international has his heart set on winning the UEFA Champions League but isn't sure he can do so in Paris and has "grown frustrated at PSG's continued failings in the competition."

This season saw the French titans crumble against Barcelona in the Champions League's round of 16, although Di Marzio's David Amoyal recently suggested Verratti's profile wasn't damaged by the 6-5 aggregate defeat:
Of the three aforementioned suitors, Bayern might struggle matching the wages likely to be offered by United or Chelsea, but the Germans' record in Europe makes them the more appealing fit if Verratti wants to win the Champions League.
The 24-year-old has a contract at the Parc des Princes that runs until the summer of 2021, although his agent, Donato Di Campli, recently indicated his client has a raft of options in front of him, per The Sun's Warren Haughton:
"The situation is very complicated – he has a very good contract until 2021. He wants to win and PSG, like it is, cannot win. He has been in Paris for five years now and he has to make a decision: earn a lot and not win or earn and become a champion.
It is not a problem of money, whoever signs Verratti will pay him a lot of money. One thing is certain, if he leaves PSG, it will be for a top European club. There are some top Italian clubs but I have my doubts Italy will be his final destination. Spain, the Premier League or the Bundesliga? A top European club.
"
Verratti moved to the French capital from Italian side Pescara in 2012, and the box-to-box playmaker has since established himself as one of European football's elite midfield forces in the five years since.
KICK recently reported on how Verratti's career could have taken a different turn had he capitalised on AC Milan's interest years ago, although his decision to bide his time has paid dividends in the long term:
PSG have already added to their trophy cabinet after beating AS Monaco in the Coupe de la Ligue final earlier this month, although they're yet to oust the French Riviera outfit from their throne atop Ligue 1.
Any outfit that gets their hands on Verratti will be signing a player with the potential to become an icon in the sport, and BT Sport commentator Adam Summerton recently hailed him as one of several Italian dynamos emerging from the youth ranks:
Paris Saint-Germain will be under no pressure to make a decision on Verratti's future just yet considering he has four years left on his contract, but it's clear the player wishes to see more ambition from his club in the transfer market.
Verratti will have a list of options ahead of him should he decide it's time to cut ties with PSG, and the next few months will go a long way to deciding their chances of retaining his services in 2017-18.
