Mariners Concession Stand to Put Order Limit in Place on Toasted Grasshoppers
Ballpark food is a tradition unlike any other, so the Seattle Mariners want to make sure as many fans as possible are able to get a taste of their toasted grasshoppers.
Per ESPN's Darren Rovell, the Mariners are limiting their per-game orders to a total of 312 for the toasted grasshoppers at concession stands.
Mariners spokeswoman Rebecca Hale told Rovell the team has "sold roughly 18,000 grasshoppers" over its first three home games.

"That's more than the restaurant [that runs the stand], Poquitos, sells in a year," Hale said.
While most ballpark food can be pricey, the Mariners are selling a four-ounce cup of grasshoppers toasted in a chili lime salt for just $4.
Rovell also noted the Mariners decided on the 312 limit of toasted grasshopper sales to honor Edgar Martinez's career batting average.
