Per BBC News, the eight fans will appear in court on Thursday, while journalist Phil Mackie provided footage of what he claimed to be an unwarranted arrest from Madrid police:
O'Callaghan's report provided details of "riot police charging at the Leicester fans" congregated in the Plaza Mayor.
A spokesperson for the municipal emergency services explained it was Foxes fans "throwing bottles at the police" that provoked the intervention, per O'Callaghan: "There was a group of 70 hooligans when the police charged. On the ground we attended five people, three police officers and two English ultras for cuts and bruises, but nobody was taken to hospital."
Leicester face Atleti in the first leg of their last-eight clash on Wednesday, with the reverse fixture scheduled for April 18 at the King Power Stadium.
