Crystal Palace vs. Arsenal: Arsene Wenger Talks Gunners Future, More in Presser
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that he is making plans for next season amid ongoing speculation about his future, while he also said he expects Alexis Sanchez to be a Gunners player into 2017-18.
Speaking ahead of Arsenal's Premier League clash with Crystal Palace on Monday, Wenger was questioned both about his own future and also Sanchez's, and he hinted that both his and the Chilean's situation would remain the same, per Hamish Mackay in The Mirror:
"Of course [I am making plans for pre-season]. My job is to pan for the future of the club. ... Basically, [Sanchez] wants to stay at the club and it's down to finding an agreement with his agent. The players first have to see if they are happy at the club, then they have to find an agreement."

Sanchez's current Gunners contract expires next year, and speculation has been rife he could depart the Emirates Stadium in the summer, perhaps even to London rivals Chelsea, per Matt Law in The Telegraph.
Meanwhile, Wenger has been under pressure of late after some poor results, but there have been rumours he is set to sign a new two-year contract, though he refused to comment on the situation on Friday, per the Evening Standard's James Olley:
Arsenal claimed their first Premier League win in almost two months on Wednesday as they beat West Ham United 3-0 at the Emirates Stadium to move up into fifth place.
Finishing in the top four this season is still looking like a serious challenge, though, and Arsenal need to keep winning.
Facing Palace at Selhurst Park will be no easy task. The Eagles lost last time out against Southampton, but before that they had won four on the bounce, including a shock away win at league leaders Chelsea.
Wenger said that Francis Coquelin could be back in the fold for the Palace clash, while third-choice goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez is set for another start as Petr Cech and David Ospina are still injured, per ESPN FC's Mattias Karen:
The French manager also provided a positive update on centre-back Laurent Koscielny, although he will not return for Monday, per ESPN FC's Ben Dinnery:
With fourth-placed Manchester City taking on in-form relegation battlers Hull City in Week 32, Arsenal could be just one point off the Champions League places by Monday night if they claim all three points against Palace.
Wenger will be hoping the convincing win over West Ham was a turning point heading into the end of the season and that his Arsenal side can prove they are back on track against Palace.
