Postal Workers Tougher Than Major League Baseball
Was anyone else surprised that Major League Baseball postponed Game 3 of the Phillies/Rockies Divisional Series? Let me re-phrase that, was anyone surprised that Major League Baseball cancelled the game due to cold weather? I can understand if it was a major blizzard and roads were shutdown or you would not be able to see the white baseball on a white background of snow, not towels.
Major League Baseball decided in 1993 to place a professional baseball team in the city of Denver, Colorado. Did they expect the Rockies to never make it to the playoffs or for it to never snow in Denver? This is the beauty of baseball because it is played outdoors and the elements come into play. Anybody remember the Cleveland Indians of 2007 when they had to move their opening series to Milwaukee because of snow and bad weather, that is what happens when you place professional sports teams in cold weather cities.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
Bud Selig needs to take a look at his cold weather plan, because with the Minnesota Twins moving their games to an outdoor stadium next year things will need to change; the Minnesota Golden Gophers had snow plows at their game yesterday (October 10, 2009). Fans will come to the game, if anything to say they watched a playoff game in the snow or in 20 degree weather. These players growing up, even you Mr. Selig, played games in this kind of weather and can handle it for another day. They are big boys and they have the right people around them to get them ready to play in all the conditions that could be brought upon them.
Postal workers still work through hail, sleet, snow, rain, and dark of night but obviously professional athletes are not as tough as these bag carrying, letter flinging men and women in blue.
