NFLPA Investigating Tom Coughlin Letter Asking Jaguars Players to Take Physical
The NFL Players Association is reportedly investigating the Jacksonville Jaguars for potential breaches of the league's collective bargaining agreement.
According to the Florida Times-Union's Ryan O’Halloran, the NFLPA is investigating whether or not new Jaguars executive vice president of football operations Tom Coughlin contacted players under contract about visiting the team facility in March for physical examinations.
However, under the tents of the CBA, players are not permitted to visit team facilities until April 10.

Citing a source, O'Halloran reported the union was notified of a letter Coughlin sent players that "said they were required to return to Jacksonville for a physical examination during the middle part of this month."
If the NFLPA deems Coughlin and the Jaguars committed a rules violation, O'Halloran wrote they could face discipline in the form of forfeiting part of their organized team activity allotment in the spring.
And while Coughlin has been with the Jaguars' front office for just over two months now, he's already drawn the ire of the NFLPA on several occasions.
On March 2, NFL Network's Mike Garafolo (h/t NFL.com) reported "the players' union and a group of player agents are upset the Jaguars are requiring injured players to rehab in Jacksonville this offseason until medically cleared."
As a result, Garafolo reported the NFLPA was considering filing a grievance with the NFL.
Additionally, USA Today's Tom Pelissero reported on March 6 that former Jaguars defensive end Jared Odrick filed a $5.5 million grievance against the team after it claimed "he voided guarantees by refusing checkups during injury rehab."
