WWE SmackDown: Burning Questions to Address After March 7 Show
The WrestleMania 33 puzzle grew more complete during Tuesday's WWE SmackDown, but it is still missing pieces.
Alexa Bliss found out she will defend the SmackDown Women's Championship against the entirety of the women's division, but it's not clear exactly how that will play out. Baron Corbin's attack on Dean Ambrose suggested a dark road ahead. And American Alpha remained on the sidelines, as uncertainty looms about their part in the April 2 pay-per-view.
The blue brand finally settled the WWE Championship No. 1 contender situation when Randy Orton defeated AJ Styles, but the intercontinental, tag team and women's title pictures are not settled to varying degrees.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
What kind of matches await these champions and challengers. Is American Alpha going to end up not even making the WrestleMania cut?
Read on for a look at those questions and more, as we dig into what Tuesday's SmackDown left unanswered.
Where Does the Tag Team Division Fit into WrestleMania?
Ambrose clearly has a challenger for the Intercontinental Championship in Corbin. Bliss is poised to take on the entire SmackDown women's division. But what of the tag team titles?
There was no sign of tag team champs American Alpha on Tuesday's SmackDown. As wrestling statistician Darren Bongiovanni pointed out, this marks the second week without a tag match on the blue brand:
Chad Gable and Jason Jordan are still without a feud, and WrestleMania is fast approaching.
SmackDown has been inconsistent with showcasing its tag division since the brand split. It has failed to do much of anything with lower-tier teams like Breezango and The Ascension. It has also stumbled in its presentation of American Alpha, not garnering nearly the amount of momentum they had at NXT.

As a result, the company's options are limited in the heart of WrestleMania season.
The Usos vs. American Alpha doesn't feel like a marquee event at this point, but it's a contest that could build on past animosity. That's the most likely route, but the lack of spotlight on either team points to the meeting happening on the pre-show.
What Kind of Match is Corbin vs. Ambrose Building Toward?
Ambrose went hunting for Corbin backstage, only to end up pinned to the floor with a forklift squeezing the air from his chest.
The scene saw Corbin hurl a security guard at the IC champ, beat Ambrose with a pipe and them try to crush him with a forklift. That's not exactly everyday wrestling fare.
The rivalry has grown intense between these men in a hurry. If they are using heavy machinery against each other with this much time left until WrestleMania, things could crazy before the big event. Will this all lead to a specialty match? Is a Street Fight or Falls Count Anywhere bout in the works?
Ambrose's character is right at home in those types of matches. He's a back-alley brawler with little regard for his body.
The Lunatic Fringe has been in his fair share of brutal contests, too, including one against Luke Harper in 2015 when the two enemies fought inside a speeding car.
It would be great if this feud ventured down a similar path. It would give the IC title match a far different flavor from everything else on the card.
Is a Rawley-Ziggler Feud Brewing?
Mojo Rawley claimed the first spot in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. The always-hyped powerhouse announced that he would be entering the annual WrestleMania match.
Dolph Ziggler was not far behind, sizing up Rawley, mocking him for his enthusiasm.
Was that WWE's way of getting us pumped about the Battle Royal or a hint of where The Showoff is headed next? Ziggler's feud with Apollo Crews and Kalisto never came to a clear conclusion. SmackDown, though, has seemingly moved on from it, though.
Rawley isn't exactly a dream opponent for Ziggler, but this may be the position WWE wants the former world champ in for the foreseeable future. The Showoff helped welcome Corbin to the main roster with a brief rivalry before trying to elevate the emerging Crews. It could be Rawley's turn next.
The chances of Rawley vs. Ziggler being electric in the least is small. WWE will probably realize that early in the process and move on from it, just as it has seemingly done with Ziggler vs. Crews.
What Kind of Match Awaits Bliss?
As Bliss proclaimed that no one was worthy of facing her at WrestleMania, SmackDown general manager Daniel Bryan entered to share a difference of opinion. He announced that the women's champ will face "every available woman" from the SmackDown roster at the PPV.
Bryan didn't specify how that would work exactly, be it a Battle Royal or Championship Scramble. WrestlingInc noted during Talking Smack:
There is time to clear all that up. Bryan created intrigue with his announcement, and he can flesh out what the match will look like in the coming weeks.
WWE has a number of options here. It can go the route WWE took at WrestleMania 30 with the Vickie Guerrero Divas Championship Invitational, where AJ Lee forced Naomi to submit to retain the Divas Championship. It could do an elimination match of some sort, too.
The most intriguing option would be a ladder match, something we haven't seen from the women's division on the main roster.
Whatever route WWE heads here, Bliss will be a long shot to win thanks to all the challengers encircling her. If she did emerge the victor, though, the win would be a monumental one.
